A gift of Joy!

Lindas wallhanging detail

I received a beautiful gift of joy this week from the lovely Linda of All Stitched Up :-)

Lindas wallhanging

Isn’t this mini quilt adorable?! So bright, fresh and pretty - and in my favourite colours! The photo really doesn’t do it justice, I wish I could show you all in person!

But the gorgeous quilt wasn’t the only passenger in the parcel! I was also gifted with this adorable little purse, exquisitely embroidered and incredibly cute…

I am a very lucky girl – thank you so very much, Linda! x

If you would like some great ideas on how to hang your mini quilts – go visit this post on Linda’s blog and read the comments – there are some great ideas! And if you like to make handbags – Linda has a gorgeous range of patterns available here :-)

Talking of patterns… I have a few to share with you from other fabulous bloggy friends – will do so soon!

You know, I was just thinking, when I read a blog I always have this (probably unrealistic) idea that the blogger is organised, peaceful and everything is under control… ahhh the serenity! Is it just me or do you do it as well?

Now I’m going to spoil the illusion… what is happening in my world right now? My dog is going ballistic on the beanbag behind me and my daughter is grabbing on to my right arm (making it incredibly difficult to type), pretending to be a puppy whilst barking and attempting to lick my face. Serenity? Hmm…. I think I remember what that means… somewhere in the distant past… Ha ha! :-)

Have a great day!

“WOOF WOOF!”

… ah well - if you can’t beat them – join them!!!!

Hugs! Vikki xx

Wow Vikki how nice!!!! I have that embroidery design too - but Linda's stitching looks much nicer than mine, lol! Darling little purse too.

Yes dear one, I do think that everyone else is probably organized, with clean homes and contented children, 5-course meals every day, and no Mt. Laundry in the living room. But remember, bloggers KNOW how to edit pictures, lol! You'll get serenity again when the kids are all at college and you have an empty nest. Then, they'll move back.

WHAT? But you forgot also that the phone was ringing, the dryer buzzing to some get the clothes, and that while youe were typing with your daughter bouncing your arms around, that you catch whiff of something that may be beginning to scorch on the stove, just as the cat knocked over or laid on your next project!. lol!!!
what wonderful gifts, you have received, that little stitched purse is so cute and such a precious wall hanging! Cyndi

What a lovely gift - you must feel so spoilt.

Aahhh... serenity. Hhmm, do mothers ever really have serenity? Enjoy those puppy dog filled moments Vik. They grow up so quickly.

Serenity is an unknown word in my house , lol !

So very glad that you're enjoying the little parcel contents. Serenity, not likely with a 20 year old and a 9 month old in the house.

Hi Vikki - just had to drop a quick comment as I have a feeling I know you! I saw your photo over on Vicki Tuceks blog and you look awfully like a lady who shops at Patchwork with Gail B, where I work. Do you, by any chance, happen to shop there?!

What a joyfull gifts you got, I love the stitchery on the little bag. At the moment I'm alone at home, with the sun shining (very hot). Sitting behind my computer enjoying peace and silence. Are you jealous yet? Come to my place.

Hey Vikki! What a lovely 'just because' giftie - they're the best sort, aren't they? A special surprise - lucky you and lovely Linda for gifting you. As to the serenity ... I'm not sure that word is in the vocabulary of most busy crafters, cos even those of us without puppy-impersonating children 'helping' us are usually juggling a lot of different 'balls' and frankly, most of us have constant lumps on our heads where we drop the balls and get hit! Tee! Hee! Hee! I think it's the realisation that we're ALL super busy and creating in the midst of chaos that unites us around the world. :0) Bear Hugs! KRIS

I'm snuggled up on the couch with my laptop, catching up on blogs. And I am trying to type & use the mouse while scratching my dogs tummy. We ladies must know how to multi-task!
