Thank you and A-ha!

Thank you my darling friends for your comforting words after my last blog post! I decided to heed your advice and take the pressure off myself. So once my DD, darling Rosie, was tucked up in bed, I headed to the sewing room, closed the door, got out my needle and threads... and then put the headphones on so I could listen to music really, really loud!!

I couldn't actually stitch for a while because I was jigging about in my chair too much! he he he... Mr SUDS and I have an extensive music collection and as I was browsing I came across an album from the 1980's Norwegian band A-ha; whose keyboard-playing member was my first teenage crush! Do you remember the group's debut song, "Take on me"? If so - do you fancy a blast from the past? Check out this link!

And yes I still have a crush on Mags Furuholmen! :-)
(Amendum: He's not as cute as YOU darling Mr SUDS! *wink*)

In fact, my friends bought me two tickets to go see A-ha play in Wembley, London, on their come-back tour in 2002. I was 30 at the time and Mr SUDS came with me (bless him!) The stadium was FULL of 30+ year-old women screaming at the tops of their voices! The men just stood around with vague expressions on their faces! Lol...

So the question is - who was your first teenage crush? Go on... I dare you to share? :-)!!

After my night of fun and creativity, I certainly woke up bright and bubbly as you can tell by Rosie's rendition of me during craft hour! Notice the big smiles?

he he he... I'm just having a giggle to myself remembering the last post I pictured her rendition of me - go have a look here if you fancy a chuckle!

Here we are - the two girls - Rosie and mumma off on a day out, full of sparkle and pizazz... and don't you just love that nail polish?!

Until next time - happy reminiscing! Hugs! Vikki xx

I can't listen to music while I stitch, I poke myself repeatedly with the needle in time with the music. Audiobooks work better, lol.
First crush - egads - Donny Osmond, of course. Funny how he doesnt' look any older but I sure do.
Love Rosie's picture of you two, so darling and so detailed!

Oh what a cute pair - you and Rosie. I don't really remember my first crush...oh no wait, it's all coming back. Ah yes, first year of high school and he was blond with an an army jacket. Army surplus stores were where you got your little bit of weirdness. Surplus cast-offs was all the rage at that time. I had an army shirt that I shortened and a real wool pair of sailor pants complete with button flap fly.
But I digress. Henry was so cute but little did I know then that he already had a girlfriend. Oh well, it was fun flirting.

Amazing... my girls and I were just discussing this today. My first crush was David Cassidy from the Partridge family. The girls have just discovered the old repeats on Channel Go - how funny. My next crush was on Leif Garret - about the same time. Funny thing is, can't remember the hit single he had but I remember his gorgeous blond hair.
Aahhh... to be that young again.
Tell Rosie I love her doll cutouts of her and you.

I love my 80's music, I have a huge collection and I'm always adding to it. I loved AHa's film clip to Take on Me.
My first crush was a boy from the indoor cricket centre I played at in High School. I was devastated when he turned up at my 16th with his new girlfriend. I saw him years later and he tried to crack onto me and all I thought was what was I thinking at 16 YYuukk! Tastes certainly change!

He Vikki! First crush ... hmmmm ... I think it would have had to be Dirk Benedict in "Battlestar Galactica" and then "The A Team". SIGH!!! He was such a honey and always played slightly mischievous characters - just my type! :0) Still go for the cute and mischievous type - married me one too! Tee! Hee! Hee! Mind you ... I also thought the lead singer of A-Ha was a bit of a cutie, especially in the film clip for "Take On Me". OK, off to clean the drool off the keyboard now! Glad you enjoyed your relaxation time! :0) Bear Hugs! KRIS

All the girls in the class had scrapbooks with Donny Osmond, but mine was filled with Michael Jackson. After Davy Jones (of the Monkees) MJ was my first true love. ;-)
Gorgeous nails darling...Rosie is very talented, too!!! I know where she gets that from - her beautiful mumma!
