… I crept out of the house, car keys in hand, to embark on my 1am drive to Melbourne airport. Was I excited? Yes! And also feeling slightly naughty that I got to stay up really late and have an adventure while everyone else was blissfully unaware in their slumber!
Over the Bolte Bridge I drove…
Then a bit of waiting…. anticipation…. looking at the board – yep – his plane had landed!
What have I been since the moment I saw him? A cuddling machine!!! In fact so much was my excitement and so much was the chatter, that on our drive home I completely missed our turn-off on the freeway and drove half an hour further down the road before I'd realised! So it took us an hour longer to get home, which we did by 4.45am!
Snacks, drinks, exchanging of gifts…
…then in to bed by 6am when the world began waking.
We’ve had a relaxing couple of days, but the jetlag hit him hard today. So a bit of fresh air was in order…
…After I’d made a little softie from this pattern… in DD’s choice of fabric!
Until next time – have a lovely weekend!! Vikki xx

Hi Vikki,
OK, I know i've been away and not up to all the latest on my friends blogs, but reading your post I thought what a cheeky new bride and she's bragging about sneaking out to meet a new man in the middle of the night. LOL
