Cute buttons and Dawn's Giveaway!

Don't you just love buttons?

Especially when they're as beautifully crafted as the ones pictured above?!! :-) These intricate beauties are designed and created by Ella & Skysie Designs... and I purchased them from my local craft store, Missy Moo Cottage Crafts, today. Isn't the little "angel cake" fairy the cutest thing you've ever seen?

But wait...there's more...

The stunning creations pictured above had me drooling all over the patchwork store floor! I am surprised the proprietor didn't put a precautionary yellow cone by my feet, stating:"caution: slippery when wet"! he he he...

Each button is individually hand-painted and the quality is outstanding. Aren't they just divine? Their talented creator is Barb of
Theodora Cleave... and thanks to her I am now in button heaven! :-) (If you're wondering what button heaven is like... yes there ARE chocolate buttons there too!!!)

I think I may have to do a future blog post on my fancy button collection. What do you think? I'd love to see pics of yours too! :-)

Dawn's Giveaway!!

As you may be aware by now *giggle*, there are a few giveaways being offered in blog land thanks to the generous band of Gum Tree Designers. :-)

My fellow Gum-nut, Dawn, has a gorgeous (and generous) array of fabrics, threads, trims, vintage wooden pegs, and a to-die-for pattern that she knows just wants to come and live at YOUR house!!

If you haven't done so already... go pay Dawn a visit and enter her giveaway while you're there. :-)

Until next time... Hugs to all! Vikki x

Hi Vikki,
A girl just can't have enough buttons. Hayley discovered Giggle Buttons recently and already has them on her Christmas list. Wish you all the best on your new adventure with among the gum trees.

LOL! I don't need to see such darling things as that. I then want to buy them because they are cute, and then have to come up with something to do with them! Or perhaps not!

Hi Vikki,
Yes, I like your button collection!
Will you use them or just admire them?

I have two button collections-One was Grannies, with lots of bits and bobs in it. I've kept it in the original tupperware container.
The other buttons are in little jars, colour coded. I don't have a hugh collection as I'm reasonable new to sewing.

Have a good weekend,
Hugs,
Anna

Hi Vikki,

It was lovely to see you yesterday. I must admit I have had a drool over those buttons myself. I have quite a few buttons myself and they don't take up much room so you can get more LOL

Love & hugs,
Sharon

Your buttons are so cute. I have lots of old buttons and some are really beautiful. I never know how to display them, so they are just in jars. I always think they are too beautiful to use, so I just get them out and look at them every now and then.

I'm a sucker for lovely buttons too. I have the little bluebird one in two sizes and I can't bear to use them on anything yet!

There's just something magical about buttons - old and new alike. Those ones are pretty special Vik.

Signing up to follow your blog as well as "among the gum tree". How fun to find new Australian blogs. This visit is so much quicker than actually traveling from the US -- although that would be some "shop hop".

Thanks, elaine
