New pattern release–Vintage Charm- and a giveaway!

Good morning lovely people!  I arrived at my pc this morning with a spring in my step and with great excitement, uploaded my latest pattern release, Vintage Charm.

Vintage charm front cover 1

This retro-themed sewing caddy was inspired by my love of vintage toy sewing machines, and contains every compartment you need to make those embroidery projects portable.  There’s not even a need to put it in a bag as it has its own carry handle, and then you can just open it up over the arm of a chair and take up sewing where you left off.

Vintage charm inside cutout

Centrally situated is a pincushion which is neighboured by a comprehensive needle keep and a sweet pocket adorned with a vintage doily, which is the right size for nestling an A5 pattern.  On the other side is a scissor keep, and a trim to hold pens, ruler and an un-picker together with any other needful things that you need for your projects.

So I think it’s time for a giveaway!  To one lucky reader I will gift a copy of my Vintage Charm e-pattern.  All you need to do is leave one comment on this post, and if you feel like it I’d love to know what it is that you enjoy the most about your sewing hobby – is it embroidery, piecing, quilting or just an excuse to get together with friends?  I will draw the winner on Friday 7th June at 7pm Melbourne time.

If however, you want to get cracking on this project straight away, it is now available as a PDF download in my Craftsy store.

Happy stitching my friends!

How lovely! You have such beautiful designs! I enjoy all aspects of sewing and embroidery...from the creative to the social, but think embroidery has to be my favorite.

Just stunning Vikki! Love it! My sewing at the moment consists of charity sewing, Mainly Laundry bags for Aussie Hero, dresses for Dress a Girl Around the World Charity but I am making gifts for special people who have helped me throughout the year and this would be perfect!

Oh Vikki. Lovely as always. Especially love the doily! My favourite thing about being crafty is going to the patchwork shop to choose fabric. Oh and I just discovered paper piecing too......Alisha xxxxxx

So beautiful!! I think the most favourite part for me is the stitching, handpiecing and quilting part. It helps me to relax and calm down from the busy days.

Hello Vicki,

I love anything old fashioned, and involves stitchery. Your little sewing machine reminds me of the little machine I have.

Happy days.

Your new design is beautiful, Vikki. I find it hard to pick one thing I enjoy more than others. But over all I think the friends I have made since I have been stitching would be the most priceless.

Very sweet! I like cutting more than any other step - except perhaps for playing with scraps and making them into a pattern.

I used to have a little sewing machine like that when I was a little girl. I love your design of it. So very cute. My favorite thing is how much I've learned from everyone's blogs. Thank you for the giveaway.

I'm a stitcher that just plays with fabric so my stitcheries can be made in to something. I'm trying to improve my piecing but sttchery like this will always be my first love. Beautiful & useful Vikki! xx

I love this vintage sewing machine. I also love the creativity that embroidery allows you because you don't have to stitch, you can embellish your stitching and make each project your own.
